Business Development

The ArbitrumDAO Business Development Fellowship Group, established in April 2024, brings together members who attended various contributor sessions hosted by ArbitrumDAO Onboarding 2. The fellowship's mission is to enhance business development for ArbitrumDAO by analyzing current efforts, identifying gaps, and proposing formal objectives and solutions. The group, composed of seven members from four countries, is split into sub-working groups focusing on ecosystem analysis and strategy development, with the goal of drafting proposals to add value to the DAO​

Goals:

  • Enhance Business Development Capabilities: The primary goal is to advance ArbitrumDAO’s business development by identifying and leveraging opportunities for growth within the ecosystem.
  • Conduct Comprehensive Analyses: Perform thorough internal and external evaluations of current business development efforts to pinpoint strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop Strategic Proposals: Create actionable and strategic proposals based on the findings from the analyses to optimize ArbitrumDAO’s business development initiatives.
  • Foster Collaboration and Communication: Encourage effective communication and collaboration among the group members and with external partners to ensure a unified approach to business development.
  • Support DAO’s Mission and Vision: Align all business development activities with the overarching mission and vision of ArbitrumDAO to ensure coherence and strategic focus.

Deliverables

  • Comprehensive Reports: Detailed reports summarizing the findings from the internal and external analyses, highlighting key insights and recommendations.
  • Strategic Proposals: At least one formal proposal drafted by the end of the two-month fellowship period, aimed at -enhancing business development activities within ArbitrumDAO.
  • Documentation of Efforts: A running document capturing meeting notes, member contributions, and ongoing initiatives, ensuring transparency and traceability of the group’s efforts. -Gap Analysis: Identification of gaps in current business development strategies, with recommendations for addressing these gaps.
  • Actionable Objectives: Clearly defined objectives and deliverables for the fellowship group, including milestones and timelines for achieving these goals.
  • Final Presentation: A comprehensive presentation to ArbitrumDAO delegates summarizing the group’s work, findings, and proposed actions for future business development.

Outcomes:

At present, we are following the guidelines of the Fellowship, and performing basic analysis of what is currently being done for BD internally and externally. We are scheduled to meet at least 5 times over the course of 2 months to propose formal objectives for the group. At the end of the 2 months, we are expected to draft at least 1 proposal to add value or disband the group. Any proposals should be vetted by at least 3 delegates.
